My Raw Cacao Shake

The healthy me, is always trying to improve my way of living and my well being, my vegan me, is always looking for more energizing natural foods. I recently stopped drinking coffee, and been looking for a boost of energy to start the day, I find this raw cacao shake to be the perfect super drink to replace the caffeine rush.

Here is my perfect ingredient mix, but feel free to try and add or replace some of the ingredients, until you reach the desired flavor.

Walnuts / Cashews / Almonds / Brazil Nuts

I usually soak them in some water for about 2 hours to increase the moisture, than drain the water and only use the nuts.

Frozen Bananas

You should freeze them peeled and cut into pieces. The frozen bananas make the shake cold and smooth like a milkshake but you can also use room temperature bananas and add some ice.

Raw Cacao Powder

Organic Cacao Nibs

Oatmeal

Organic Maple Syrup or Dates for some sweetness.

Put everything in the blender, with some vegan milk (rice / coconut / soy / almond, any of these work)

And there you go! An amazing healthy and yummy morning delight!
