“You’re just an imitation of what is around you, it’s just that you don’t imitate one person; you take bits and pieces of hundreds of people and make yourself.” - Sadhguru
For a long time now, we have made a point of turning our photoshoot days into fun social days. Ripple's first consultants were yogi friends who tested the garments and helped us learn and improve, our studio grows with employees bringing in friends, and our models are our friends and members of our yogi community. We have strong connections with individuals all along our production process, from our fabric supplier to our seamstress and laundry service - and don't even get us started on Aviad, our lovely mailman.
The unique atmosphere of our photoshoots is the result of the friendship and understanding between our head-designer and our gifted photographer, who make sure to bring those good vibes with them to every location.
We see friendships and human connections as the ground from which we grow - we see the people around us that have brought us to where we are today, support us, give us comfort in our soft moments, and encourage us to be strong and fierce. In yoga, it can be a friend who pushes you to come to practice when you're not motivated, or one to tell you that it's OK to just laze out every once in a while.
When we bring that support to our photoshoots, our yoginis - which aren't professional models - can have comfort and fun in an unfamiliar setting, and we believe it shows.
With that in mind, we want to invite you to share what makes you happy with your friends. If yoga brings joy to your life - invite a friend to join you for practice.
If you are facing challenges, tell a friend - they could give you a helping hand or just a much-needed hug.
And maybe, if it feels right, dedicate your next practice to reflect on the relationships in your life, and send some good vibes to your people.
